A Shift in Focus
After decades of clinical work across hospitals, rehabilitation programs, and private practice, George has stepped away from licensed clinical practice.
He now offers a different kind of support—one centered on listening, perspective, and helping people think through their situations and options without the structure of formal diagnosis or treatment, while still drawing from decades of experience in behavioral health and psychological settings.
This includes work with individuals across Clemson, South Carolina, including Clemson University students and local families seeking clarity and direction during periods of transition.
Dr. Woodruff often reflects on how powerfully his own immersion in personal therapy allows him to deeply empathize with his present clients’ emotional process as they discover insight about the connections between childhood experiences and present-day struggles with self-esteem, ability to effectively regulate emotions, and communicate preferences and needs.
